LET'S DE-STRESS WITH A GOOD MORNING

(Psalm 118:24)

What's so good about this morning?

It's another day that the Lord has given us . . .

Sure, we may still have stresses of some sort, but with the dawning of this new day, we're witnessing God's grace and mercy to bring about our de-stress.

However great or small our de-stress may be, it's all GOOD.

Stress survivors are learning more and more with each new day the Lord provides that it's our choice to rejoice, be glad, and make the best of our mornings.

Let's de-stress with a good morning and be grateful in spite of all things.

Peace I leave with you . . .

LET'S DE-STRESS WITH DELIGHT

"Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart."
Psalm 37:4

DELIGHT? Is it kosher to combine de-stress and delight together? Sure it is!

Often in our need to de-stress, there's a nagging need to delight ourselves in something. Though our 'somethings' may not be the same, we generally see delight as a path to peace.

Remember David's 'something' with Bathsheba during "the time when kings go out to battle . . ." (2 Samuel, chapter 11) and how he chose to delight himself? That WAS NOT delight in the Lord.

When we choose to delight ourselves in the Lord and experience His precious peace, there are some specific things we should do.

Stress survivors believe that some of the greatest advice to delight in the Lord comes from one of David's familiar passages of Psalms. Let's de-stress with delight from Psalm 37. . .

Do not fret because of evil doers,
Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity.
 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,
and wither as the green herb.
 Trust in the Lord, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
 Delight yourself also in the Lord,
and He shall give you the desires of your heart.
 Commit your way to the Lord,
trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.
 He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light,
and your justice as the noonday.
 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.
 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath;
 Do not fret--it only causes harm.
 For evildoers shall be cut off; But those who wait on the Lord,
They shall inherit the earth.
 For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more;
Indeed, you will look carefully for his place,
but it shall be no more.
 But the meek shall inherit the earth, and shall
 delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

(Psalm 37:1-11, NKJV)

Peace I leave with you . . .

LET'S DE-STRESS DEVOTIONAL

"For we brought nothing into this world,
and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
And having food and clothing, with these
we shall be content."

LET'S DE-STRESS WITH GOD'S MERCY

"But the mercy of the Lord is
from everlasting to everlasting..."

~ Psalm 103:17

No doubt, stress survivors here, there, and everywhere, seem to be witnessing a stressful season. Seems like, if it's not too much of one thing, it's too little of another.

We cannot afford to stress out because of the way things "seem." We are stress survivors, and by "the mercy of the Lord," we shall continue to survive.

Come on, let's de-stress with God's mercy from Psalm 103:15-17.

As for man, his days are like grass;
As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
For the wind passes over it,
and it is gone.
And its place remembers it no more.
But the mercy of the Lord is
from everlasting to everlasting
on those who fear Him...

Peace I leave with you,
