LET'S DE-STRESS STRESSTIMONY

"When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold."
~ Job 23:10a, NKJV

Welcome back to another amazing Let's De-Stress StresstimonyTM.

Here again, each featured stress testimony is presented with hopes that our quests for de-stress might be enriched by sharing inspiration from God's Holy Word.

Today's StresstimonyTM is from one of the most noted stress survivors of the Bible. One who triumphed from enormous stress to de-stress, while maintaining exceptional patience and faith.

And now, the infamous Though-He-slay-me-yet-will-I-trust-Him, God's faithful servant JOB (Job, Chapters 21 and 23).

LDS:  Welcome Job, it's a blessing to have you share with us. We need sage advice and encouragement from stress survivors, such as yourself.

JOB:  Listen carefully to my speech, and let this be your consolation.

LDS:  Most definitely! Which stress would you like to share? You've had quite a few, haven't you?

JOB:  Even when I remember I am terrified, and trembling takes hold of my flesh.

LDS:  That's understandable, considering the stress you've encountered. What trouble awaits at the tip of your tongue right now?

JOB:  Why do the wicked live and become old; Yes, become mighty in power?

LDS:  Honestly, Job, stresses concerning the wicked--and their power--seem to be rising all around us. Seems like moral conscience, for many, is ebbing away.

JOB:  Yet they say to God, 'Depart from us, for we do not desire the knowledge of Your ways.'

LDS:  You're right, God's ways are being slung aside, as people insist on doing things their own way. And that's a major cause for countless stresses. What do we do?

JOB:  Let his eyes see his destruction, and let him drink of the wrath of the Almighty.

LDS:  No doubt, without the knowledge and grace of God, destruction is inevitable; without God, any hope of elevating from stress to de-stress is next to impossible.

JOB:  Look, I go forward, but He is not there, and backward, but I cannot perceive Him . . . But He knows the way that I take; When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.

LDS:  Awesome! Thank you, Job. Stress survivors accept that no matter how dark the way, or how clearly or nearly we see Him, God knows all about us. But just like Job, we're destined for certain trials and test. And that's our StresstimonyTM . . .

Peace I leave with you . . .
